In den letzten zwei Wochen habe ich keine Bilder mehr vom SSS reingestellt. Ich stecke immernoch mitten im Clue 6 und komme nicht weiter. Das liegt nicht am schweren Muster, sondern daran, dass ich die Socken-Krankheit erwischt hat und ich das Tuch zur Seite gelegt habe. Ich möchte in jedem Fall weiterstricken und denke auch, dass ich diesen Frühling noch fertig werde,aber erst mal möchte ich wieer ein paar einfachere Sachen machen. Außerdem steht die Marktsaison ins Haus und ich muss noch einige Kleidung nähen und stricken, damit mein Freund und ich nicht frieren, wenn es im April los geht.

Within the last two weeks I didn't put any pictures of my SSS here. I'm still stuck in the middle of clue 6. Not because the pattern is too hard, I just got the sock-virus again and so I put the Shawl aside. I really want to continue it and I thing I'll finish it this spring, but first of all I'm going to do some other stuff. The middelages market season begins in April and I still have to knit and sew some warm clothes for me and my boyfriend, so that we don't have to freeze.

Dieses Mal bin ich sehr zügig und in der Zeit mit dem aktuellen SSS-clue fertig geworden. Woran das liegt?
Ganz einfach: Ich schreibe am Dienstag eine Klausur und stricken ist immernoch die beste Methode, abzuschalten.
Abgesehen davon, dass dieser Teil es Tuches leicht zu stricken war und mir dieses Projekt mit jeder Woche besser gefällt. LUL hat bei dem Design wirklich großartige Arbeit geleistet!


This time I was in time knitting the current clue. Why is that? The answer is quite easy: I'm going to write a test on tuesday and knitting is still the best method to calm down a bit.
Apart from that, this part of the shawl was an easy knit and I get a little more pleased with this project every week. LUL did a great job on the pattern!

So, mit zweitägiger Verspätung bin ich gestern Abend mit Clue 4 fertig geworden. Ich habe mir dieses Mal nicht die Mühe gemacht, das Tuch zu spannen, weil es schon sehr spät war und ich gleich mit Clue 5 weitermachen wollte.



With two days of delay I finished clue 4 yesterday evening. I didn't block the shawl this time, for it was late and I wanted to beginn clue 5 immediately.

Nachdem ich Freitag Abend bis zur ersten lifeline geribbelt hatte, bin ich jetzt, 48 Stunden später, fertig mit Clue 3. Ich gebe zu, ich habe heute 6 Stunden am Stück gestrickt, aber jetzt gehe ich - zufrieden mit mir selbst - in die neue Woche und freue mich auf Clue 4.

After I reopened the shawl on friday evening to the end of clue 1, I just finished Clue 3 48 hours later. I admit, I consecutively knitted 6 hours this afternoon. Now I'm going to bed - satisfied with myself - and I'm looking forward to clue 4.

Nachdem ich gestern alles noch mal aufgemacht hatte, habe ich den Fehler zwar nicht gefunden, aber offensichtlich behoben. Diesesmal gab es keine größeren Probleme und so kann ich euch jetzt zumindest die ersten beiden Clues meines Tuches zeigen:



After I undid the whole thing yesterday I haven't found the mistake but, obviosly, remedied it. This time there were no bigger problems and now I can show you at least the first two clues of my shawl.

Der Spring Shawl Surprise gestaltet sich schwieriger als gedacht. Mit dem ersten Clue komme ich problemlos zurecht. Der zweite Clue macht mir allerdings große Probleme. Nach der Hälfte hatte ich mich so verzettelt, dass ich gerade alles wieder aufgeribbelt habe (es lebe die Lifeline).

Spring Shawl Surprise is going to become harder than expected. I came along with the first clue, but the second clue is giving me a hard time. After the half of the chart I made so many mistakes that I decided to undo it (God save the lifeline).

So, nachdem ich mich endlich ein Garn für diesen im Januar beginnenden KAL bestellt hatte, kam es gestern auch an. Es handelt sich um ein Gemisch aus 35% Kaschmir, 35% Seide und 30% Merino-Wolle. Ich habe es nir bei der Hamburger Wollfabrig 2-fädig aufspulen lassen und bin begeistert. Hier das Bild:

Die Weichheit des Garns hat mich so beeindruckt, dass ich direkt die Maschenprobe machen musste, die LUL bereits veröffentlicht hat:

Gestrickt habe ich mit 3mm-Nadeln, die Strickprobe ist 10 x 12,5 cm groß.

I finally chose a yarn for the Spring Shawl Surprise KAL. It's a mixture of 35% Cashmere, 35% Silk and 30% Merino-Wool. I purchased the yarn at the "Hamburger Wollfabrik". It's two-stranded, you can see the cone in the first picture above. It feels so softly, I had to knit the swatch immediately. My swatch is kitted with a 3 mm needle (US size 2) and measures 10 x 12,5 cm (4 x 5 inch).
